All hangover and no fizz, this is grimly, determinedly awful.
The theme is New Year’s Eve, the action is set in New York City. Hilary Swank is the lady in charge of the ball drop, helped by her best pal, a cop played by Chris “Ludacris” Bridges. The ball gets stuck. Hector Elizondo fixes it.
